Statens Veterinärmedicinska Anstalt

Department of Virology at NVI (National Veterinary Institute), is one of the major departments of the institute. It comprises Section of Commissioned Diagnostics, Poultry Diagnostics, Molecular Diagnostics, Research and Development, and Disease control and virus validation. The department has accreditation according to European standard SS-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2000, and the Virus validation has GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) compliance according to OECD and Directive 2004/10/EC. GLP-studies are performed regularly for international pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies. The department is also, by OIE, designated International Reference Laboratory concerning molecular diagnostics of animal viral diseases.
